I am a health and clinical research professional with a PhD in Nutrition and Health Sciences, currently working as a Research Associate at The George Institute for Global Health within the Critical Care Program, contributing to the Sepsis Support project. My academic and research background spans public health nutrition, clinical nutrition, epidemiology, dietary assessment, and cognitive health. My PhD research focused on the role of dietary anthocyanins and flavonoids in cognitive function and mood among older adults, using a multi-method approach that included systematic review and meta-analysis, dietary assessment tool development and validation, cross-sectional analysis, and a randomised controlled trial. In my current role, I support critical care research activities, including protocol familiarisation, literature review processes, project planning, study documentation, and coordination across multidisciplinary research teams. In my previous role as Research Assistant at MRC and St George Hospital, I gained experience working across clinical and academic environments, including clinical trial coordination, ethics and governance processes, REDCap data management, participant screening and follow-up, dietary assessment, biospecimen handling, and research administration. Alongside my research experience, I have contributed to undergraduate teaching in nutrition, pathology, and health sciences, with a strong interest in translating complex scientific concepts into accessible, engaging learning experiences. I am passionate about evidence-based health research, improving patient outcomes, and contributing to large-scale projects that can inform clinical practice and public health policy. My broader research interests include clinical trials, critical care research, sepsis, nutrition and chronic disease, dietary assessment methods, cognition and ageing, and implementation of evidence into practice.
