Dr Berthon is a clinical research dietitian within the Nutrition and Metabolism Team of the University of Newcastle's Immune Health Research Program at the Hunter Medical Research Institute. Dr Berthon performs clinical research investigating the metabolic, immunological and biochemical relationships between dietary intake, obesity, inflammation, and respiratory diseases. This research is focused on developing evidence for dietary intake strategies and non-pharmacological therapies from dietary nutrients and alternative supplements to optimise health in ageing, obesity and other inflammatory conditions such as asthma.
