Dr. Sze-Yen Tan is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and a Registered Nutritionist. He completed his PhD at the University of Wollongong and post-doctoral training at the Ingestive Behavior Research Centre at Purdue University (USA). Prior to joining Deakin University, he worked as a Lecturer at the University of South Australia and a Senior Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Clinical Sciences. His research focuses on finding simple, pragmatic and effective dietary interventions that address obesity, metabolic diseases, and age-related functional declines. He is currently an Associate Editor of Nutrition & Dietetics, the Nutrition Journal, and the First Editor of British Journal of Nutrition.
