Nawoda Hewage is a PhD candidate in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where she also holds a sessional academic position. Her doctoral research focuses on the psychometric refinement of the International Food Literacy Questionnaire (IFLQ-19), applying advanced statistical methods including Rasch measurement, structural equation modelling and Ant Colony Optimisation to develop a suite of short-form food literacy tools suited to national surveys and dietary assessment. She holds an MPhil in Clinical Biochemistry and a BSc (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Nawoda is an active member of the nutrition research community, presenting her work at conferences and contributing as a peer reviewer for nutrition journals.
