Michael Ryoo is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland’s Centre for Nutrition and Food Sciences. Working within the multispecies nutrition research group under Professor Eugeni Roura, Michael investigates the dietary patterns and molecular mechanisms behind acute appendicitis. His research focuses on how targeted nutrition and dietary behavior can minimize and remediate gastrointestinal inflammation in genetically predisposed populations.
